We love Monteriggioni!! The restaurant there, Piccolo Castello, has a beautiful garden area, wonderful food. Have you eaten at Bar dell’Orso down below? Famous for their meats – busy, noisy, excellent food also.
Ciao Bonnie! Happy to see your name pop up! I haven’t eaten there, thanks for the recommendations. I spend most of my time in Monteriggione in the church – it’s one of my favorites. Hope you are well. 🙂
Love that church also. The Madonna with Rosary is one of my favorites. There is no info on the painting that I can find but a few years ago there were several “photos on wood” left there with donation suggested. I, of course, got one and it sits on my china cabinet in my living room. 🙂
